Tunisia and the European Union (EU) signed, Thursday June 13, 2024, during the Tunisia Investment Forum (TIF), a memorandum of understanding on “a strategic partnership to promote and develop the potential of investment in renewable energies and ensuring energy and strategic supply on the sidelines of the Tunisia Investment Forum, reiterating European support for the Tunisian objective in terms of renewable energies, namely 35% by 2030.
This Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, Fatma Thabet, and the head of the EU delegation to Tunisia, Marcus Cornaro.
